Forestry Expo Scotland

Forestry Expo Scotland was a unique event combining a live harvesting demonstration and a trade expo. Held over two days in August 2019 the event provided the opportunity to not only see the latest and best forestry machines and equipment at work but also to discuss ideas with leading industry experts.

Outwear were excited to support the event, especially as it was the first to be organised with a diverse trade expo. We were showcasing a range of our brands and had some new products to launch that were being seen for the first time in the UK at a show. Our stand was the one with the giant inflatable fox and Protos helmet!

Pfanner

The full range of Pfanner safety clothing was on display with all the different chainsaw protective trouser designs and colour choices available for customers to try on. We also showcased the full range of Pfanner Chainsaw protective boots which is now standing at 7 designs. The Pfanner BOA Chainsaw boot was on display for the first time and proved to be a very popular product with positive comments on the comfort, lightness and ease of lacing. The wet weather on the first day helped with our sales of Nanoshield waterproof jackets!

Protos

The “Cabbage Smasher” was a fun way to illustrate the safety of the Protos helmet. By drop testing a heavy piece of wood onto the helmet from a 5m height, we were able to demonstrate, with confidence, the safety features of the Protos. A wide range of Protos colour combinations were on display to visitors and many enjoyed trying on the helmets to experience the much talked about comfort for themselves. New products being launched were the customised visors, which we had fun creating a range of flag designs and masks. Which was your favourite design? The Bluetooth Communication demonstrations enabled visitors to test out the systems prior to purchase. For those wanting to test the range of the BT-COM, the ability to send their colleagues to the catering tent for extra bacon rolls was one method!

Woolpower

With the seasons changing and cooler weather fast approaching, we had success promoting the Woolpower range of merino base and mid layers from Sweden.

Overall this was a great show and it was very enjoyable to meet so many customers. Have fun browsing through some of our photos on social media.
